Beef Eating Secret Society India’s Elite

Cows have reportedly gone missing in Anand, Gujarat over the past two months. An interview with a local farmer, Ravindra Shah, said he witnessed several young men running from his fields wearing what looked to be NYU printed on their t-shirts. One speculation by local police believes the NYU stands for New York University. No further information is available at this time.

*snip*

Police have identified one suspect, age 26; name is being withheld until his family is notified. It's believed that the suspect is part of a beef eating secret society. More to come as the story unfolds...

*snip*

Another suspect, Satinder Singh, 34, has been identified as the ring leader. Satinder "Sam" is part of B.E.S.S.I.E., which stands for Beef Eating Secret Society India's Elite.

*snip*

It's believed BESSIE was recently organized after a group of NYU students returned to Gujarat from America. They were exposed to the delicious Big Mac's of McDonald's. Jim Skinner Vice Chairman & CEO of McDonald's refused to comment on today's youth and their desire to eat beef.

Note: McDonald's is the world's largest chain of fast food restaurants, serving nearly 47 million customers daily. McDonald's primarily sells hamburgers (not made of ham), cheeseburgers (not made of cheese), chicken products, french fries, breakfast items, soft drinks, milkshakes and desserts.

This story is completely made up by the poster Candygram. It is in no way, shape, or form meant to portray actual events that most likely will happen within the next 6 months in a country called India.

SCARY AIRPLANE

"NEW YORK (CNN) -- A White House official apologized Monday after a low-flying Boeing 747 spotted above the Manhattan skyline frightened workers and residents into evacuating buildings."

I can only imagine what others felt in NYC today. I worked for United Airlines on that dreaded day back on 9/11/2001. It took me two + years to get over the trauma. I know what they are feeling.

Andy Studdert, former bigwig at UAL, had the WHQ building in Elk Grove Village, IL evacuated due to a fire alarm once the air grounding was lifted. The employees were standing outside in the parking lot.

The first airplane to leave O'Hare was a United flight. Mr. Studdert had the plane fly super low over HDQ. The employees were freaked out; me included!

I met Andy Studdert shortly afterwards at the OPB (Operational Base department) where the really cool stuff happens at United. I told him how much it scared people. His response was simply, "Really, I thought employees would be excited about United flying again." His gesture was noteworthy but most likely never ever appropriate.

Neither Mr. Studdert nor myself are with the company any longer. His departure was shortly after his faux paux. Mine was October 2006 by choice.

BEATLES RULE WITH LET IT BE!

When I find myself in times of trouble, mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, let it be. And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me, speaking words of wisdom, let it be... Whisper words of wisdom, let it be. And all the broken hearted people living in the world agree, there will be an answer, let it be. For though they may be parted there is still a chance that they will see, there will be an answer. Let it be... there will be an answer... let it be... whispers words of wisdom... let it be... there will be an answer... let it be... there will be an answer.. let it be. And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light that shines on me, shine until tomorrow, let it be. I wake up to the sound of music, mother Mary comes to me, there will be no sorrow, let it be... there will be no sorrow... let it be... whisper the words of wisdom... let it be!

Fifi, the movie star!

I miss you so much. I had a dream about Fifi last night. She was sleeping on my lap as I lay on the sofa. I was afraid to pet her for fear that she would disappear. If she comes in my dream again tonight, then I am petting her.

Look at the progress with Ladybugs!

It's like they are in heaven.

I added more raisons. I thought there was one, but now there are two. They seem to like the water and food. How cool is this?

Employment Opportunity

I received a call this morning from a recruiter about a job offer. If successful, then I'd be working with AT&T Route It!®. This would be the web application working remotely from home. It's only a two month contract job. This would be perfect if I could get this position. I loved working with Route It at United Airlines. I was the person that was always requested for cutovers by Avaya and AT&T, since I was good with the technical side. Give me the resources, and I can figure out any issue with routing 800 numbers. WISH ME LUCK!

Earths lights from Space

If you’ve ever wanted to know where people who use and don’t use technology are located, then check out this photo of Earth as seen from Space. I believe the first time I ever saw the photo was when I was a regular on the BAUT forum. I remember years later to use as a visual aid for one of my graduate courses. My major was Telecommunications, and this helped sell my idea for a smart satellite phone to the Professor. He was so against satellite phones due to cost. I was able to find a couple of companies with the ability to produce a smart phone where the cost is acceptable to the business person who is a world traveler. **A smart phone in this case is a phone with satellite, cellular and IP capabilities. The phone would automatically pick up the most economical signal when in use.** My professor said it was actually a good idea.

Ladybugs (Asian Lady Beetle)

Since Fifi passed away, I’ve been pretty lonely. I’m not ready for a new fur ball, either. Which brings me to the topic of ladybugs (Asian Lady Beetle)? I notice them more in the winter, since they take up residency in my home. They are always around the sliding glass doors that lead to my balcony, which happens to be facing the east for maximum Sun exposure. Without Fifi around to pamper, I started to focus my attention on these ladybugs. I always wondered how in the world they seem to stay alive without access to food. Apparently, they don’t; there’s just more than one. I looked online to see if I can preserve them long enough for spring to come. It seems that I can by giving them a damp cloth for water. I can feed them moist raisons, too. There are other non-acidic fruits for them to munch on, but this choice is the easiest and least messy. This should keep them alive long enough for me to release them outside when the weather is warmer. They seem to be the ideal pet for me right now. They are small and cute. Plus, they don’t scare my roommates from India. LOL

Search for the Star of Bethlehem

What are the odds that I flip to the Science Channel at exactly 21:30CT tonight to catch a glimpse of Search for the Star of Bethlehem to find Dr Brian Cox expressing his views? I had no idea he was part of the show. I haven't been cyber stalking him lately.

I'm actually watching The Last Templar Part 1 of 2 with Mira Sorvino on NBC. I kept changing the channels back and forth since 21:00CT to only find those irritating commercials on at exactly the same time . I got seriously lucky at the half hour! Well, both shows are over now. Dr Brian Cox made the ~2 minutes I saw him unforgettable.

The photo is from the BBC. I thought it appropriate for this blog entry.

FIFI and Euthanasia!

Euthanasia (literally "good death" in Ancient Greek) refers to the practice of ending a life in a painless manner. Pramod and Amir are taking Fifi to the Golf Rose Animal Hospital tonight. FIFI PASSED AWAY TONIGHT.

Why do Black people think White people hate them?

I don't hate. I could care less about race. I now have a roommate from the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, Africa. He's Black. I live in a predominantly White neighborhood, Roselle, IL. I live in a place called Trails Village, which is a condominium community. There are parking restrictions for those who have a Roselle Sticker and those who are guests.

I emailed Ivorian the restrictions shortly after he moved into my condo. He ignored them due to the cost and "took his chances" for parking privileges. Oddly, my Indian roommates, who are dark in color were given the same email warning. The Indian roommates have never had a problem with parking. However, after a month, Ivorian gets a sticker "warning" that his car will be towed.

I believe the notice came because his car is SO UGLY it sticks out. He thinks he is the target of racism. I'm sorry, but his car is REALLY UGLY with dents and different paint marks. I'm embarrassed to have it parked in front of my garage, which is one of the reasons I asked him to park in the guest parking areas. The Association has been "stalking" his car and taking photos for over a month. LOL

After Ivorian got the "Orange Sticker Warning" for tow, he thinks the Association is targeting him because he is Black. I find this extremely funny. No one cares if he is Black.

Why do Black people think White people hate them? I just don't get it. I could get it, if we were back in the 1950's. I get that my folks were prejudice. I get that America was racist at one time. I get it. Let's get over it, though. We are in a new era approaching 2010. If the "White" people can move on, then why can't the Black people keep up with the pace?

I just don't get the mentality of continued self segregation by the Black people; different beauty contests, different college bonuses, etc. The White people are cool with everything going on around them, especially with the color of folks. Thinks about it, the 2000 US Census states 77.1% of Americans are White. Do you really think a Country who is racist would elect a Black President?

Please help me educate others that racism and/or prejudices are literally extinct in the US. Who is responsible for the continued hate? I have some ideas, but you probably won't like the answers.

RIP Maksutov!

Maksutov, I've missed you for along time already. Believe it or not, I've thought about you often. I just never had the time to catch up. I'm so sorry.

I saw 5 pages on BAUT where others, who perhaps knew you better, send you their love. I know, I'm banned on BAUT. I just had to post a farewell to you on my favorite forum. I created a new username, ydnaC. Get it? It's my name backwards. I knew you'd find it humorous. This is the way I want to remember you... smiling.

Thank you jrkeller for letting me know about Maksutov's passing. Let me know if there is a Memorial Fund for the family. I'd like to donate some monies.

RIP Daniel Nadwornik April 15, 2008

Daniel is travelling tonight on a plane
I can see the red tail lights heading for Spain
Oh and I can see Daniel waving goodbye
God it looks like Daniel, must be the clouds in my eyes

They say Spain is pretty though I’ve never been
Well Daniel says it’s the best place that he’s ever seen
Oh and he should know, he’s been there enough
Lord I miss Daniel, oh I miss him so much

Daniel my brother you are older than me
Do you still feel the pain of the scars that won’t heal
Your eyes have died but you see more than I
Daniel you’re a star in the face of the sky

Daniel is travelling tonight on a plane
I can see the red tail lights heading for Spain
Oh and I can see Daniel waving goodbye
God it looks like Daniel, must be the clouds in my eyes
Oh God it looks like Daniel, must be the clouds in my eyes
